Get Your Grid On – Challenge of the Month

Hello everyone! Kathy (blackkathy) here with a new challenge of the month. This month, I have chosen the theme of “on the grid” which is using a grid style in your scrapbooking artistry. It can be as simple as using frames in rows and columns, templates that use a grid format, or creative variations using different shapes and offsets. Grids can make your layout look polished but not boring. Just use your imagination and have fun with it!
For the first example, I have used one of Katie’s many grid templates. There are many types of these in the shop and most Project Life creators use this format. This is my newest, sweet grandson Jett, who just celebrated his first pumpkin massacre, and he enjoyed every minute of it.

Supplies used: Photo Grid 12 x 12 LT 1, October 31 Paper 1, October 31 Sentiment Mix, October 31 Solids, October 31 Elements
With the next layout, I simply used a Painted Window Frame that has a grid style to it of my honey, while we were up at Acadia National Park here in Maine during the leaf peeping season.

Supplies used: ARToptions Mini Mix 18, Vintage Artistry In the Leaves Solids, Vintage Artistry In the Leaves Transfers 4, Vintage Artistry In the Leaves Vellum Leaves, Vintage Artistry In the Leaves Paper 1, Painted Window Frame Layers 3
And lastly, here is my beautiful granddaughter Jessica through the years. Her first love, Pink Bunny, whom she still has and sleeps with, right up until her high school prom.

Supplies used: Vintage Artistry Serenity Papers 2, Vintage Artistry Serenity Solids, Vintage Artistry Serenity Ephemera, Vintage Artistry Serenity Ephemera Plus, Vintage Artistry Serenity Chipboard Stickers, Stitched Geometrics 2
These are just a few examples of what you can do with the grid style format. You can keep it simple or make it as creative as you would like it to be. I can’t wait to see what you come up with, so please share your creations in the Challenge of the Month Gallery and make sure to upload to the November Forum Challenges as well so you will receive proper credit. Thank you so much for making it this far, and remember, always have fun with it.
