February Color Challenge: Amethyst

In honour of this month’s birthstone, we are playing with some beautiful shades and hues of purple for the February Color Challenge: Amethyst! I’ve always been fascinated by the big rocks with crystals inside called “geodes“. I don’t often scrap with this color because it just doesn’t suit any of my kids. In fact, I think the only time I use it is when I scrap my mom who has her birthday in February!

Today, however, I captured the most beautiful sunset from our balcony in a small ski town in British Columbia. It was so stunning that even the teenagers in our house were snapping pics to add to their phone wallpapers!
