Color Challenge: Life on the ocean wave

Hi and welcome to May’s color challenge. I was drawn to the colours in this photo and reminded of lighthouses I’ve visited in the past. I think it would be fun to live in such a quirky place – though perhaps not during a storm.

I can see this palette being used for vacation pages, or outside playtime. It would be good to usethe blue as a background, and have red/ krafty accents. Photo by Raoul du Plessis on Unsplash

Three members of the creative team joined me for this challenge, and I love their pages!

First up is Carol (Carolee) with this great page. I love the border with its Downton Abbey style pattern and stitching. I think I’ve only seen one King Charles coin here in the UK too, and I love her facts. The masking in the background keeps our focus on the photo and journalling. Love it!

Carol used Textured Whites Paper Pack 01; Simply Stars Value Pack 01; Krafty Damask Paper Pack 01; Classic Frame Layers 01; Partial Page Masks 04; Clean Stitched: White 03; Notebook Edge Masks 01; Roughed Up Pocket Cards: Striped 01; Flair Minis 01; Star Glows Brushes and Stamps 02; Double Decker Element Pack.

Next up is Cori (CoriK) with this lovely page. Such a great color scheme for this page. I love the wave brush behind the photos, the boardwalk element and the border to the bottom with more stitching. The title work really stands out too.
