Collectively Clustered

Welcome to a new year, a new month and an exciting new Layering Challenge.    This month, we’re embracing creativity by layering with photo clusters.  The objective of clustering is to partition a set of unlabeled objects into groups or clusters where all the objects grouped in the same cluster should be coherent or homogeneous.  This works well for story telling or designing a post with several photos.

For this challenge I invite you to creatively use  one of Katie’s premade photo collages or create a collage of your own.  If you choose to use one of the premade clusters, I ask that you add a few additional frames of your own, then add additional brush work, elements and word art of your choosing create your layout for this months challenge.  Katie has been so generous to provide us a freebie for this challenge.

Our creative team has once again provided us with some Amazing inspiration.  Creative Team Member, Erin (ErinR)  created this absolute stunning layout with her Christmas photos.  Here she has started with a photo cluster and then altered it to fit her photos.  The additional of the wood frame and film strip and depth and dimension for this layout.

She has used the following supplies: Photo Clusters 57, Evergreen Season Scrapbook Bundle, Evergreen Season Journal Cards, Evergreen Season Essential Transfers 01, Lightly Linens Paper Pack 01, Slide Frames 05, Spectrum | Gardenia Filmstrips and Frames, Readymade Layers: Christmas Edgers 06

Guest Creative Team Member, Trish (GT) used the has joined in with this gorgeous layout displaying an Gingerbread extravaganza.  Here, Trish has started with the Photo Journal Clusters and added additional frames from the Christmas Spectacular and Christmas Village collection as well.

Trish used the following supplies: Photo Journal Clusters No2-2,  Christmas Village, Christmas Spectacular Ephemera, Home for the Holidays_Paper Pack

I (myssp) created these 2 layouts both using Photos clusters as a main ingredient.  This first layout is an older design, which I felt was worth revis.  This layout features Katies photo clusters that act as frames for my background papers, offering a unique alternative to the conventional method of filling every frame with photos. This creative approach not only adds visual interest and depth to the layout but also allows for a more dynamic and balanced composition.

Supplies for this layout: Photo Clusters 58, Sweater Weather 5, Mixed Media Cluster Layers, Hinge Pack 01, Pattering Palette 02, Forever Fresh, Lemon Zest, Pretty in Plaids, Color Essentials In PInk, Vintage Artist Chipboard, Wood Veneer Words 26, Worth REpeating 22, Love Twist, Readymade Layers Pink Borders

This collage is featuring photos of my niece and her family enjoying some family moments together. I started with Katie’s Photo Clusters  adding additional frames including the new filmstrip frames,  brush work and some Happy word art for my layers and splash of color.
