Brush it Up Challenge: Welcoming Spring

Julie here with the April Brush it Up Challenge and where I live Spring has officially sprung! The flowers are blooming and the weather is warming up. I chose this pack because title brushes are great to spark ideas for a page, especially when it works for current photos. However, any photos will do and I’m digging into some vintage gems for the “BASKETS of goodies” brush. With Easter just past and most of us have had or are on Spring Break there should be plenty of new photos to play with! Or maybe you have an April Fools prank to document or funny “SPRING ahead” time change story. Lots of options. I’m afraid some of you may still have snow though, and I know some of you are headed into fall – sorry!

First up we have Mel with a lovely page featuring a photo of her horses. She takes the best photos of her animals and I love how she captured Whiskey and Inka here… perfect for the “SPRING fever” title brush. I love how she used the Nature Study collection with the soft greens and blues to create her page.

Next up is one of our Guest CT, Penny with a page that features all the goodness of spring: blue skies, fresh flowers and green leaves! Penny is going to make sure she gets outside on walks to enjoy it all. She used the featured brush pack and added a stroke to her title to outline and drawn attention to it on the page.

Stacia is next with a side of Spring that is necessary but not always pleasant: RAIN! She kept her title dark to stand out against the background and added elements from the new Curated Team Favorites Rain or Shine Kit.

Finally here is my page. That is me with my older brother in 1974 and 1975! I used the brush pack for my main title and then added more word art on top for a little extra detail. No journaling on this page – I really couldn’t tell you what I was thinking, besides wondering why I couldn’t fit my egg in my mouth!

I used some **coming soon** product from the Field Notes collection out this Friday. I also used Messy Stitched Borders: White 01, and We are Blessed Brushes and Stamps.
