Brush it Up Challenge: Watercolor Page Titles

Hello! Julie here with the August Brush it Up Challenge. This month we are using a fun set of Watercolor Page Titles. Katie has offered this for 50% off using code KPDWTP50 at checkout through August 31, 2026. My first thought for this set was outdoor adventure themed pages. But there are several titles that could be used for a variety of different themes. Stay and Play could be used for a sports page. Look for the Little Things could be an “About Me” page or really any lifestyle page. Our Creative Team Members have come up with some creative uses for the titles. Let’s take a look.

Valerie is up first and she created an art journal style page. I love how she made the word Silence in the title orange and then continued to highlight the word with the same color in the quote. That really gives the page a nice continuity.

Next we have Sherry, who made a page with some vintage photos of her uncle. I love that she included the handwriting she found on the back of one of the photos. Sherry got creative by taking some letters from the various titles to form the word “Sky.” I have done that before myself when I’m looking for a more specific word to fit my page.

Stacia is up next and she went the outdoor adventure route for her theme, with some older photos at the waters edge. I like how she took a color from the photos (the red shirt) and brought it to the title. And it all pops nicely off the dark background.

Rachel is next and she also created an art journal style page. I like how she adjusted the perspective of the title to stretch out and follow the path – so cool! She also added a shadow layer underneath the title to make it more dimensional.

The final example is the page I created. Since I knew which photo I wanted to scrap for this challenge, it was an easy choice once I saw these Watercolor Page Titles. This quote was perfect for the picture with my friend on the Skyline Loop Trail at Mt. Rainier. I split the title in half to add a little balance since it is a one photo page.
