Brush it Up Challenge : Put a barcode on it!

Hi again, Carol here for the May Brush it Up challenge : Put a barcode on it!   Are you looking for just that somethin’ somethin’ to add an extra little feature on a page – how about a barcode?  I’ve picked a set with really versatile words, hope you find something that works for you.

I’ve picked Coded Brushes and Stamps 02 this month and Katie has generously offered a discount code to be added a checkout – KPD50CODE – for half price of the pack and you have until the end of the month to use it (31 May 2026).

To be part of the challenge you have to use something/anything from the Coded Brushes and Stamps 02 pack.  It contains both stamps and the .abr file use them any way you want, get inventive!   I can’t wait to see your pages and how you use your barcode.

The creative team have eagerly jumped on board with some terrific example pages and I’m loving what they’ve done:

Firstly I’m showcasing Lizzie’s page, and love the barcode added to the tag hanging just so!  We really knew her grand daughter was an original and the tag is a fun addition to the page.

Next up we have the fabulous Valerie and she has chosen the siblings barcode.  I love that she’s been able to add the barcode to a ticket and tucked it neatly beside the photographs.   A perfect way to add a pop of colour to a page as well.

Supplies Valerie  has used:  Layer Works 2501 (some elements),  Layer Works 2515 (some elements),  Layer Works 2541 (some elements),  Ancestry Defined Stamp Pack 02Monthly Memories Vol. 02 Vintage Pack 02 (ticket),  Coded Brushes and Stamps 02,  Pencil Line Leaves Stamp Pack 20Spectrum Gardenia | Ephemera (butterfly),  Palette Textures Paper Pack 23 (blended into paper below),  Palette Textures Paper Pack 20.

And for my page I used the survivor barcode (though I don’t know if it’s the cat surviving turmoil or us surviving the cat – I do know though the vet is winning in the equation!)  I stamped the barcode onto the paper and added by-lines top and bottom to make a feature of the stamp.
