Black and White with a Twist

It is already a new month and time for the August Color Challenge. This month, we are focusing on the classic combination of black and white, with a splash of vibrant colors to liven things up. The inspiration for this challenge came from the striking contrast of the dark background against the bright pops of color in the photo above.

Black and white is a timeless classic that never goes out of style. It serves as the perfect base for any layout, providing a clean and sophisticated backdrop for your creativity to shine. Creative Team Member Addie (AddieG) designed a beautiful layout of her cousin and wife’s baby shower.  The black edging  added a dramatic touch to the layout, while the strips of patterned paper softened the overall look, creating a gorgeous design.

Our Guest Creative Team Member, Lynn (Lynns54) whipped up  this beautiful layout featuring her lovely gardens.  This layout is a harmonious blend of colors, patterns and textures, creating a visually stunning and cohesive design.  I absolutely love her addition of the fluttering butterfly.

I  (myssp) created this layout with a photo of Ms. M.   The design I created incorporates a mix of black and white patterned papers, adding a timeless and classic touch to the overall design.  The ribbons bring a soft and feminine element adding a sense of movement and flow. The touches of pink and green add a pop of color and playfulness,  balancing out the monochromatic tones and adding a touch of whimsy.
