Ad Challenge May 2024: Chevrons

Hi everyone! It’s Amy (Amy L) bringing you the Ad Challenge for May. This month I have chosen the following image as inspiration:

When I saw this image, I thought of all the cool chevron products that Katie has in the store. I like the lifted photo, and the black and white scheme reminded me of the new Color Swatch Charcoal collection. Of course, the design could be used with any color scheme you like! The team was wonderful to take on this challenge and provide some beautiful pages for your inspiration.

First up is Rachael who created this beautiful page that makes me ready for summer! I really like the chevron shape spanning the width of the page, and the cute photo clipped to it looks fantastic. The shadowing on the word art is divine!

Next up is Shannon who scrapped photos from a recent outing with a good friend. Her photos are beautiful and the colors all blend so well. Did you notice how she included the chevrons at the base of the photo? Makes a subtle yet interesting design element.

Rache contributed a very cool page. I was blown away when I saw how she incorporated the chevrons over this stunning photo! The colors are glorious and the word art adds such a nice touch. Such a serene view; makes me want to go there!

I decided to challenge myself with a monochromatic black and white scheme, something I never do! This photo of my cute grandson who is just starting to crawl lended itself well to a black and white conversion and it was fun to add the chevron patterns underneath.
