iTunes Challenge: Bright Splash

Hi folks,

Time for this month’s iTunes challenge. It’s amazing how much things can change in a month. When I was looking for a cover for this month’s inspiration, I knew I wanted some brightness.

So I went for this! I love vibrant colours against a dark background, and the grungy look of the paint.

When I asked for volunteers I wasn’t disappointed! Shannon was so inspired she created two!

First up is Amy, who created this gorgeous page with exactly the journalling I needed right now. I love the vibrant yellow of the daffodils, and their message of hope.

The pretty butterfly brushes are the perfect extra touch. Amy used Classic Cardstock: Into the Night; Blendable Layers No. 33; Blendable Layers No. 39; Watery Spots Brushes and Stamps No. 01; Watery Spots Brushes and Stamps No. 06; Typed and Scripted Brushes and Stamps No. 07; Vintage Blendable Layers No. 14

Shannon’s first page is a good reminder for us. I love her choice of titlework, and the edge effects she created.

Her second page shows how you can go in any direction from the starting inspiration. Here Shannon says she was inspired by the distressed look of the original, and I love the colours in this page too.

Here Shannon used Layering Sentiments No. 1; Farmhouse Garden Solids Paper Pack; Scratchy Masks Brushes and Stamps No. 04.

Now it’s your turn, show us how you’re inspired by the inspiration cover. Katie’s generously provided a freebie here. Post your pages in the iTunes inspiration gallery so we can leave some love. Remember to keep track of your challenge pages in the March challenges sign-in thread so you can earn store discount.

Hope you get some time for Happy scrapping!
