Challenge of the Month More Pumpkins

Hello my scrappy friends! Kathy (blackkathy) here! Today we are going to create some fun and easy pumpkins for your fall pleasure with Katie Pertiet printed digitals. I like printing my own papers as I print what I need and don’t have a lot left over that generally does not get used as in some paper packs that I have purchased. I can easily coordinate my papers using the digital papers from one or several kits.
First up, we will create the large, layered pumpkin using either oval wood shapes that the Dollar Store sells, cut out cardboard, or the foam board that the Dollar Store also sells. All very affordable.

You simply glue your papers on and then stack and glue them together as shown. I added some thin rope around the outer edges to give it a more finished look. The stem was created with aluminum foil and wrapped with twine. You can also use just plain paper and twist until you are satisfied with the results and then wrap it with the twine. Added some florals that I had in my stash and butta boom, butta bang, she is finished and worthy of display!
Next up, we have the good ole’ Dollar Tree orange pumpkin that you should be able to easily find. Snatch one or several up and easily create something that you would be proud of to display. I cut strips of the paper and then either pinned with sewing pins or glued in place the strips until the pumpkin was covered. You may do as several rows as needed to completely cover that orange. I printed out the paper that will coordinate with my layered pumpkin. Again, I made the stem by twisting together some paper and added some florals to the top.

Lastly, we have the easiest and quickest pumpkins to make. I saw some on Pinterest made out of wood and decided that I could do better than that with the supplies I had on hand. I found these small boxes (my honey has a tendency to keep all the boxes that items come in) that we have and wrapped them in brown paper first and then glued on the printed papers that again, coordinates with my other two pumpkins. Added stems and the usual florals with some twine for bows. I also wrapped the bottoms with the same twine.

Supplies Used: ARToptions Spice Papers 1, ARToptions Spice Papers 2
Easy peasy, lemon squeezy! I like decorating for the different seasons and holidays, but don’t necessarily wish to spend all kinds of money changing everything out. These will cost minimal and you will have fun creating them. Any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out to me at Katiepertietdesigns.com. Please post your creations in the Challenge of the Month Gallery using Katie Pertiet Designs and also to receive your credit towards the participation coupon and upload them also in the September Challenge Participation Forum.
As always, have fun with it!
