Template Mashup: One Fine Day
Hello! This is Merr (digigrandma) here with the first of two Mashup Challenges in April. If you choose to take on this challenge, you’re going to love working with these templates. One features a grid design that can either be filled with photos or papers and the other features circle frames and lots of extra goodies. How you mix and match the parts of the templates is totally up to you! You get to be the designers!
The only rule for this challenge is to use parts of both templates to create your own new design. If you want to add any extras from your Katie Pertiet Designs stash that is perfectly OK.
So, here we go! The templates are:
Penny (pennyh) created this first example. As you can see she placed a large photo in the background and used the grid blocks to fill in extra photos. It’s so cool looking and I love that bold title! Papers from Vintage Artistry Hike Paper Pack and Vintage Artistry Hike Solids Paper Pack complete Penny’s design.
Valerie (nana_vg) is a pro at mashing templates. She made use of the circle frames and for variety also used a rectangular frame. Her design has four equal parts with the fourth part filled in with the title. It’s an attractive, well balanced design! Papers from reamDreamy Paper Pack 09 and Lightly Linens Paper Pack 20 complete her design.
Angela’s (amcmillian) creativity in designing scrapbook pages is evident in this next example. Can you just imagine the muddy fun depicted in these action photos? I love the way her design leads the eye to travel around the page to view each photo. Angela used background papers from Sherene Solids Paper Pack and Curated Team Favorites Military Kit.
I’m digging deep into my archives of old photos these days and I found this cute photo of my mom and her college friend washing clothes the old fashioned way at my grandmother’s house. I loved filling the blocks in the grid with patterned paper from Color Swatch Teal Paper Pack.
