Template Mashup – Joy Captured
Hi there! It’s Cori (@CoriK) here with our 2nd Template Mashup of March! I was drawn to these two beautiful templates for our mashup this month. I loved the colors, the mix of square and round photo frames and all of those yummy elements. I hope you’re inspired to scrap some joy captured and mash these two templates with us!
If this is your first time joining us, the rules are pretty simple – take parts from each of the templates and rearrange them on a new page of your own design. It’s ok to add a couple of additional KPD elements if you wish. Post your completed page in the Template Mashup Gallery and also in the March Participation Thread in the forum for points towards a store discount for completing challenges.

Several team members were inspired to play along with this challenge and created some lovely pages. Let’s take a look!
First up, is this super sweet page by Kathy (@blackkathy). I love how her page draws the focus to that adorable photo. The background paper she added really pulls the page together. In addition to the two templates, Kathy used Lightly Letterbox 3 – Background Paper.
Next, we have this fabulous page by Valerie (@nana_vg). I love her layout and she mashed the elements perfectly. The slide frame behind her circular photo is brilliant! In addition to our two templates, Val used the Spectrum Sherbet Solids Paper Pack and the Lightly Linens Paper Pack 05.
Barbara (@grantlaurensmom) was up for the challenge and created this cheerful page. In addition to the two templates, she used the Antiquarian Artistry Paper Pack 01. Could that diagonal striped paper be any cuter with this page? I love how she used both the vertical and horizontal design of the two templates.
Next, Linda (@earlofoxford) created this gorgeous page for the mashup. I love the mix of square and round photos frames and that chippy paper peeking through is just icing on the cake! In addition to the two templates, Linda added the Chippy Foundations Paper Pack 09, Color Swatch Teal Ephemera Stackers, and Drop Shadow Styles.
Next, Penny (@pennyh) created this stunning page for her mashup. That large background photo with the camera brush is incredible! I would love to be sitting in that spot right now! Penny created this gorgeous mashup only using her photos and the our two templates.
Lastly, is my take on this mashup. I captured my sweet Mabel relaxing on the screened porch – her favorite place to be! In addition to the two templates, I used the Spectrum Gardenia Classics Paper Pack.
I’m always amazed at the lovely pages from these challenges. It’s fun to see how different they all look using the same templates! I hope you’re feeling inspired to play along. And don’t forget – the templates used for this challenge will be on sale this week!
