Saturday Scraplift: Transparently Yours

Shannon (shannonr) here to bring you this week’s edition of Saturday Scraplift. This week, we will be lifting Rachel (Rache77). I loved her take on the Let’s Blend Challenge.
As usual, the Creative Team has put together some additional inspiration to get your creative juices flowing.
First up, Valerie (nana_vg). She was inspired by the single photo and the masks in the background.

Products used: Blendables Layered Template 95, Big Bottom Lift Classic Frames 03, and Curated Team Favorites Sparkle Scrapbooking Kit.
Chrissy (kikimama) was inspired by the message about beauty and the blending.

Products used: Hey Missy Scrapbooking Kit, Stamped Blocks 30 Brushes and Stamps, Painted Plaids Stamp Pack 05, Spectrum | Sherbet Scrapbooking Bundle, Collageables 04, Worth Repeating Overlays 04, Watery Photo Masks 32 and Golden Starbursts 01.
I used a selfie from Ash Wednesday to create my page. I did a lot of experimenting on trying to achieve a look as close to Rachel’s as possible but struggled a bit. I played with filters and I thought I would share what steps I used. I first used the Stamp filter in PSE using black and white. I then used the Magic Wand tool to select all the white in the photo image and deleted it so that the background behind the photo showed through. I decreased the opacity to have the image blend in with the background even more. This is what I was able to come up with to lift her page.

Products used: Spill Frame Layers 16, Sunday Services Brushes and Stamps 01, Blendable Layers 56, Faith Focused Garden 01, Have Hope Brushes and Stamps, Vintage Blendable Palettes 04 and Collage Blends 01.
Don’t be discouraged if the transparent blending of Rachel’s or my layout seem too overwhelming. There is plenty of other inspiration to pull from in her layout to create a page as you can see with Valerie’s and Chrissy’s layouts.
As usual to get credit for a coupon to use in the KPD store, post your layouts in both the Saturday Scraplift Gallery and the March Challenge Participation thread.
Can’t wait to see how you interpret lifting this beautiful page. Happy Scrapping!
