Let’s Blend Challenge

Hello and welcome to this month’s Let’s Blend Challenge. “Lovely Photo Masks” have a Valentine’s Day theme, but can be used for so much more. My fellow CT members have created some wonderful examples of how to use the mask. So, let’s get right to it:
Mel (britgirl) used the mask twice to highlight this adorable photo of she and her sister. Here color choices are spot on. Products used: Attic treasures kit Colourful paint layers no 1 Arlesey kit Sweet rosey kit To the sea kit Cameron kit Leyton kit Field guide tags no 2 Birthday party – hat Party Time collection Vintage artistry teal ephemera stacks Forever fresh paper And lovely photo masks no 4

Jan (jmgesi) used a photo of a “just because” photo from her daughter. She grounded the image with the mask and I love the purple and green color scheme she used. Here are her products: Blend Challenge Freebie Layer Works 2513 (bits & pieces) ***Coming Soon*** Watery Photo Masks 32 Stained Glass Frames 01 Laurel Grove Solids Paper Pack
Shannon (Shannonr) went with a traditional “Love” theme by clipping her photo to the mask and adding coordinating heart elements. Products used: Curated Studio Mix 48 Lovely Photo Masks Brushes and Stamps 04 Lots of Love Element Pack Painted Photo Masks 25 Artsy Inked Hearts Brushes and Stamps 01

Carol (oldbag165) went with a winter theme and duplicated the mask and clipped two different colors of paper to it. The two papers and a bevel and emboss layer style to add texture. Products used: Layer Works 2509 (significantly modified) Lots of Love Element (freebie) Lovely Photo masks 04 (Freebie) Arctic Frost Sort of Solid paper

Sharon (shannamay) duplicated the mask, flipped one horizontally, and then clipped her photo to them. Her frame and cluster highlighting the seagull is so creative. For my page, I used a photo of my nephew and Lorenzo, taken by Kaylyn. I clipped the photo to the mask and then added the metal frame that I used from one of Katie’s Blendable templates. Here are my products: Artsy Seaside Value pack Blendables layered Template 27 (tin frame) Delmar Shores Element Pack Atlantic Element pack

I can’t wait to see what you all come up with this month. Katie has once again provided a generous freebie for us to use as inspiration. As always, please don’t forget to post your layouts in the Let’s Blend Challenge Gallery, as well as the February 2026 Challenge Participation Thread to earn store rewards.
A big thank you to Mel, Jan, Carol, Sharon and Shannon for creating such wonderful inspiration to get your creative juices flowing.
Happy Blending!
Joanne
