Let’s Blend Challenge

Hello, Joanne here with the last Let’s Blend Challenge of 2025. As I was creating this page, I thought it might be a good one for our monthly challenge. I like to layer masks and either clip a paper or add texture to them. Scroll down to see how I created the layer stack for this page.

I started with my photo of a female cardinal. Her colors set the tone for the layout.

The bottom layer starts with a Partial Page Mask and I clipped a Chippy Christmas Paper to it.

Two Watery Masks were added and resized. The top mask has a bevel and emboss layer style added to it.

On top of the Watery Masks, one of the Chippy Christmas Ephemera Blends was added to finish the base of the layers.

From there I framed the cardinal and added a cluster and title work to finish off the page.

You can create as many layers as you wish; the more you use, the more depth you will have to your page. Katie has provided a freebie for us to get started. It takes a bit of playing around with the layers…I added and subtracted different masks until I liked how the page looked. Check out my Gallery for one other example I made for the challenge also.

I can’t wait to see what you all come up with this month. As always, please don’t forget to post your layouts in the Let’s Blend Challenge Gallery, as well as the December 2025 Challenge Participation Thread to earn store rewards. Thanks for all of your creativity and participation this year. I am already thinking of ideas for 2026!

Happy Holidays!

Joanne
