Something Old, Something New: November

Hi friends! Welcome to November’s Something Old, Something New challenge! It’s Trace (tracermajig) with you again to hopefully inspire you to mix your old and new stash together!

This month to mix things up a little I thought we would challenge ourselves to only use what is in the freebie as our old and new products. Feel free to add in whatever you need to make your page but please use an old and new (or all four!) product from the freebie. You will no doubt work out what we are playing with from the team pages below!

First up is this adorable page by Amy (Amy L). I love how she split the sentiment around the photo and also turned the rosette into a flower!

How beautiful is that view at Addie’s (AddieG) cabin? I love Addie’s vertical title and how she used the doily and paper remnant for layering pieces. Those wonderful photos take centre stage and it looks like absolute perfection to me.

Kimberly’s (kimberlyb) page is a great example of using all four elements together. I love how the rosette ribbon emphasises her title. The black and white photos are also perfect with those colours. What a fun page design!

I love how Stacia (Stacia) got creative with the repeated rosettes behind the doily. They could be flowers or even buttons. You would never think it was a rosette! The split title also helps your eye wander over her lovely photos.

The rosette ribbon reminded me of some orchid shows I have attended with my Mum recently. I knew I wanted my photos on the diagonal from the title but I did have to get a little creative with the doily to create a square mat behind everything. My only regret is that I couldn’t put the amazing smell of a hall full of blooming orchids on my page!

That’s a wrap, friends! I hope we have inspired you to give this challenge a go. Don’t forget to upload your pages to the Something Old, Something New gallery and to also update the November Challenges participation thread to earn your store rewards! See you again next month!
