Kit-Centric Challenge July 2025

The Kit-Centric monthly challenge is all about using one kit or collection to make your layout. Even when you don’t think you have photos for the challenge, it’s amazing how many totally different layouts are created. Whether you turn your photo(s) black and white or use them in full color, the kit/collection has enough variety to scrap them. There’s no rules or themes your layout needs to meet — just use only the kit or collection on the majority of your page. And the bonus? July’s challenge uses the Lakeside Scrapbooking Bundle. This month the team found this bundle to be very versatile with layouts ranging from family members, family activities, celebrating a special holiday, and great advice. They are all very different, and I hope they provide you with ideas and inspiration.

First up is Guest CT Member, Renee (5grand). Renee designed a beautiful layout with a fabulous B&W heritage photo that includes her dad. Heritage scrapbooking is one of my favorite things, so I was happy to see what she’s done with the Lakeside Bundle.

Next up is Creative Team Member Julie DeGuia who made a lovely layout of her children fishing with their dad. I was a a bit amused by her journaling as I remember when our kids were young, and tried fishing with their dad. Young children’s attention span isn’t always what a dad might like to see.

Next up is Creative Team Member, Stacia. She always has such a variety of photos to scrap, and she is a master at multi-photo pages.

And finally, I, Valerie (nana_vg) scrapped some photos and a story written by our oldest grandchild. He called us one evening recently so excited by the monster large mouthed bass he’d just caught. He knew his Papa had been a bass fisherman for decades and would understand how excited he was. We encouraged him to write down the detailed story he told us while it was fresh in his mind — and he did just that.

My favorite part of any challenge is to see the variety of layouts that can be created from a single collection or example. I’m looking forward to seeing yours grace our gallery. I’m sure they will show many more ways this kit/bundle can be used.
