Go Big or Go Home: Layering with Word Art

Rachael here with another Layering Challenge.
In Texas, we say, “Go Big or Go Home”—and since Texas is my home state, it’s no surprise that this short girl does everything BIG!
This month’s Layer It On Challenge is all about going bold and creative with Word Art Layering! We’re turning up the volume by challenging you to make your word art or title big, bold, and eye-catching, then take it a step further—incorporate your photos inside the text!
Whether you clip a photo directly to the top of your word art, blend it seamlessly into the lettering, or even create a multi-photo collage within a single word, the possibilities are endless. This is your moment to experiment with texture, storytelling, and design in a fresh and dynamic way.
So grab your favorite shots, choose a powerful word or phrase, and let your creativity run wild—Texas style!
Our creative team has curated a collection of stunning projects that showcase their creativity for this challenge. Katie has been so generous to provide us with a freebie for this challenge.
BOY oh Boy – Amy (Amy L) has joined in with this lovely layout featuring her adorable grandbaby. Stunning brushwork and beautifully layered elements surround the framed photo, which is cleverly nestled inside the large “O” she’s used as a unique focal point. The patterned paper she chose for the frame perfectly complements the photo and all the intricate details, creating a warm, cohesive design that draws you right in.
Amy has used the following supplies: Alphabetized Album Layered Templates, Folia Element Pack, Indigo Garden Solids Paper Pack, Junk Journaler Mini Kit 01, Metsa Scrapbooking Collection, Minted Wings Solids, Nature Study Element Pack, Page Blends 05

I (myssp) created my own title by using the Alphabet from Katie’s Alphabetized Album Layered Templates as my starting point. I made the letter Z the star of the show, then added a couple of bold O’s to complete the look. I layered my photos inside the O’s for a fun and dynamic effect, and finished it all off with a few playful details—perfect for capturing some wild and wonderful Zoo Time memories!
Credits for my layout can be found here: Alphabetized Album Layered Templates, Watery Foliage 27, Everlasting ReMix Element Pack, Everlasting ReMix Paper Pack, Spectrum | Gardenia Ephemera Plus Pack, Curated Studio Mix Scrapbooking Kit 19, Readymade Layers: Collage Clusters 07, Spectrum | Gardenia Chipboard Words
