Saturday Scraplift: Monochromatic Drama

Happy March!  Shannon (shannonr) here for this week’s edition of Saturday Scraplift!  I selected this layout by Candy (cnewby) for us to lift this week.  I loved everything about this layout–the quote, dramatic photo effect, monochromatic color scheme with just a pop of color, blended background, torn edges and lace.

As usual, the Creative Team has come up with some additional inspiration for you.

First up–Jana with this beautiful lift.  What a lovely table setting for tea and her layout is gorgeous–mostly monochromatic with just a hint of green and blue and included the lace and floral inspiration in the background paper and layering.  So many extra little goodies too!

Brenda (bbe) always records the sweetest conversations she has with her granddaughter.  This is definitely one that would tug on any grandmother’s heart.  And the layout is gorgeous too.  Brenda also used blended flowers and lace in the background of her layout from Candy’s inspiration.

Valerie (nana_vg) was inspired by the large photo and torn edges in Candy’s layout but elected to keep her photos in color and add some supporting photos.  I love seeing egrets and herons on my walks.  This would have been fun to see at the Big Cypress National Preserve.

I stuck closely to Candy’s design.  Since my photo was of an egret, I blended swan images into my background (the closest to egrets in my KPD stash).
