Challenge of the Month – Shabby Chic Art

Welcome to the second challenge of 2025.  I’m Brenda, and I will be hosting January’s Challenge of the Month.  In a nutshell, our Challenge of the Month will be an anything goes challenge, to be determined each month, by the host.  Suggestions are encouraged!  If you have any ideas or suggestions, please feel free to comment at the bottom of this post.

I love all types of scrapbooking.  Aside from traditional scrapping,  I enjoy browsing and experimenting with Typography, Junk Journaling and Art Journaling.  Sometimes, getting messy is plain ‘ol fun. (and can even be therapeutic)  For today’s challenge, I thought it might be fun to try a bit of what I’ll call Shabby Chic Art.  The page above is an example of this.  It’s messy meets message.  I’ve come to realize how important journaling can be, so my message is simple.  Don’t be afraid to journal.  The more you do it, the more comfortable you will be with it.
