Template Mashup: December Memories

Hello from Merr! (aka digigrandma) I have a new Template Mashup Challenge for you all. I hope mashing with these two templates puts you in the mood for scrapping Christmas memories. The idea is to start a new blank page of your own and pick and choose your design elements from the featured templates, making sure you make use of both templates. It’s a fast and easy way to scrap favorite memories.

And, now for some inspiration from the Creative Team! The Creative Team gave me wonderful examples of their mashing to share with you.
Stacia (Stacia’s Gallery) said that she quickly created this page with photos of her son making Christmas cookies back in December of 2009. Templates really do make creating scrapbook pages easier and quickly. Pages like this look like it took hours and hours to create because there are so many elements to use from the templates. Stacia also used a photo frame from Classic Side Lift Storyboard Photo Frames 01 and added a background paper from Arctic Whites Paper Pack 04.
Next I have this festive page from Jana (Jana’s Gallery) to show you. I love the red frame for her lovely family photo. Jana also used Botanical Christmas 01 Element Pack and Textured Whites Paper Pack 01.
Kelly (aka wsprite_ad) is our talented Guest Creative Team member this month. She used the templates to tell the story of her attendance at Daniel at Sight and Sound in Lancaster. I love how the big red bow directs our attention to the selfie photo. Kelly made expert use of the brushwork from the templates on her pretty page. Extra designs from Evergreen Season Ephemera, Evergreen Season Ephemera Plus Pack and Textured Whites Paper Pack 03 complete her page.
And, here is Cori’s (aka CoriK) unique take on the Mashup Challenge featuring an adorable Christmas photo of her three nieces. What a great setting with the girls dressed in festive Christmas dresses. Look at the subtle brush work of the trees down in the corner of Cori’s page and note that she recolored the title art. A background paper from Textured Whites Paper Pack 03 completes Cori’s page.
Is there anything sweeter to see than a young child engrossed in making art, especially with Christmas decorations in the background? This precious page was created by Guest CT member, Jehri. (Jheri’s Gallery) I think Jehri placed every element in her design just perfectly.
Of course, I am excited to share a page for the challenge, too! The page I created is going to be either the cover or the title page for my December Days Photo Book project. My background paper is from Anchors Away Solids Paper Pack.
Thank you for taking a peek at our Mashup creations. Please join us in mashing with these templates. I will be eagerly looking for postings in the Gallery for this challenge. Be sure to post your Mashup in both the Gallery and the December Participation Thread to earn credit towards a discount code to use in the store here. In the meantime, I hope you find quality time this December to scrap photos and to enjoy the days leading up to Christmas.
