Let’s Blend Challenge

Hello everyone! Joanne (jcaruth910) here with this month’s Let’s Blend Challenge. We will be working with one of Katie’s Fall Photo Masks this month. This mask can be used for a variety of photos, not just fall themed. I also love to duplicate the mask and run the bas relief filter in the filter gallery on it, and change the blending mode to overlay or soft light. Then, add a layer mask to that layer, fill it with black, and brush in the spots you where you want to see the added texture. I brought back the texture on the right side of the photo, where the pinecones are and then a bit on the bottom left also.
Here are the products I used: Bound Paper pack 10, Fall Photo Masks Brushes and Stamps 02, Faringdon Element Pack (Twine), Worth Repeating No. 41 Stamp Pack, Lakeside Sentiment Mix, Lakeside Banners, Palette Textures 24, Lightly Linens 25
CT member, Stacia (Stacia) clipped her lovely photo the the mask and then added sub photos to complete the story of the page. Love those inky frames and how she recolored the Bound paper to fit her color scheme. Here are the products she used: Fall Photo Masks 02, Brushes and Stamps (freebie), Bound Paper Pack 10, Defined Words Fall Brushes and Stamps 01, Layered Inky Frames 01, Watercolor Word Blocks, Brushes and Stamps 03, October Woods Paper Pack
Katie has provided a wonderful freebie for us, which included the mask we both used on our pages. Please don’t forget to post your layouts in the Let’s Blend Challenge Gallery, as well as the October Challenge Participation Thread, to earn store rewards.
A big thank you to Stacia for helping me out with the challenge this week and I hope you can join in on this month’s challenge. I look forward to seeing your work in the Gallery.
Happy Blending!
Joanne
