Sketch Challenge: August

Good morning everyone! Time for a new Sketch Challenge!

This is Sharon and I hope you can join us this month designing a page inspired by this sketch:

Katie has put together a Freebie pack for us that includes the Wood Veneer Frames, jewelry tags and ribbons. You can download it and use some, all or none of it – whatever you choose!

Three of our CT members made pages for me and I think they show how versatile sketches can be! This sketch has room for 2 photos, but at least one of the open frames could be used for an extra if you had three to feature. There are circular elements that could be doilies, slide reels, painted or stitched circles – or any other circular element. The ribbons add movement, but any linear styled element would work as well. Buttons can be replaced with flairs, flowers or chipboard circles.

First up is Valerie (nana_vg) and I love how she has layered the circular elements up to create an original and unique embellishment.

Then we have this beautiful monochromatic page by Linda (earlofoxford). She has replaced one of the photo spaces with two smaller square photos. She’s used stitched down paper circles and I just love the effect of the taped down overlays.

Lastly, we have Cori(CoriK)’s serene lake page. Aren’t the colours gorgeous? She has used the frames and the jewelry tags from the freebie pack, but has changed up the photo arrangement and has replaced the circular elements with some brushwork and netting.
