Template Mashup: Say It With Flowers
Here it is May already!
I’m Merrilee (aka digigrandma) and I am pleased to host the first of the two Template Mashup Challenges we offer each month here at Katie Pertiet Designs. Mashing is easy and fun! The idea is to use parts of both of the featured templates for this challenge to create a new design of your own. You may add additional items from your digital stash like a background paper or other embellishments if needed. Most of us find we only need to play with what’s included in the templates; only adding the background to complete our page.
The good news is these two templates will be on sale this week, so, be sure to grab them because they can be used again and again very creatively!

So, let’s get started with some inspiration from the Creative Team.
We have two wonderful guests on the Creative Team this month, Sherry and Rachel, and they both created wonderful example pages for me.
Sherry (aka digi371)’s page is so romantic! The white flowers, the white doily and the heart charm are perfect embellishments for a prom page. Moonlight Garden Add On Paper completes her well designed page.
Rachel (aka rache77) delighted me by using a vertical design and I love it with the flowers cascading down among the lovely photos of her daughter surrounded by a field of flowers. She also used Bloom in Paris Scrapbook Mini Kit to complete her design.
And, Creative Team Member, Valerie, (aka nana-vg) never misses a chance to mash with the templates chosen for this challenge! Induction in the National Honor Society is quite an accomplishment and Valerie’s page documents this honor for her granddaughter with wonderful photos and the notebook for journaling the details. Don’t you love all the pink? Her background paper is from Palette Textures Paper Pack 36.
And, finally, my page celebrates Spring and my first haircut in 4 years! I decided it had gotten way too long to be very easy to wash and care for it. On a whim, I decided to cut it and got into a salon on the same day. It was a good decision! My background paper is from ARToptions Bookshelf Paper Pack 09.
