Layer it On! Challenge

Rachael (myssp) here, I am so excited to be bringing you a New challenge on “Layering”.

At a conference last week,  our speaker spoke about reaching goals, her topic was  Mt. Everest.  She explained about acclimating at each level and how you let your body adjust to the elevations to be able to reach the “Summit”.  We will follow similar steps to complete our layouts.  I must warn you it is a process, but You can achieve it!   Katie has provided a freebie for this challenge: FREEBIE

How it works:

You will build your layout like a climb up Mount Everest, each time you will add additional layers to your layout. When you are instructed to go back, you start the process all over again from that point.  The “Key”  for elements are listed below:

  • Base this will be your foundation / paper
  • Move to Layer 1
  • Go Back to the base
  • Go to layer 1 and layer 2
  • Now Back to Layer 1
  • Go to Layer 2 & 3
  • Go Back to the base
  • Go to Layer 1, 2, 3 and 4
  • Title
  • Completed
KEY:
You must use at least one of the items listed on each level, each time you are here  ( feel free to use additional items if you would like).
  • Base – Paper, brush work, masks, transfers
  • Layer 1 – Photos, Frames, journal cards, remnants, tape strips
  • Layer 2 – Greenery, Florals, clusters, elements, buttons,
  • Layer 3 – Word strips, stitched words, or word buttons
  • Layer 4 – Ribbon(s)
  • Summit – Title or word art
