5th Saturday Scraplift: Creative Team Spotlight

Welcome to our first 5th Saturday Scraplift of the new year! Jana here and it is always a pleasure to shine the spotlight on one of our own creative team members and today that is Sarah (sterkeurs). Besides being a talented scrapper, she is also an avid photographer, as you will see in many of her layouts. I invite  you to peruse through her wonderful gallery and choose any page you wish to lift. When you post yours, please include the link to Sarah’s page that you lift. First up, Shannon (shannonr) lifted this beautiful page of Sarah’s.

Here is Shannon’s amazing page! What a great shot of the majestic Bald Eagle! Great framing and I love the tag she placed behind it. The blended photo in the background adds another layer of interest and is beautifully done. The Scribbled Overlay is one of my favorites as well. That just frames the entire page!

Next, Valerie (nana_vg) chose this page to lift.

This is Valerie’s lovely page! She followed Sarah’s basic format and used a square frame instead of a circle frame. I love the one she chose and the branches and other details are beautiful! She knew exactly how to draw attention to the important words of her journaling by changing the font color. So beautiful and effective! The twisted lines lead the eye right to the corner title cluster.

Stacia was inspired by this layout of Sarah’s.

Here is Stacia’s fantastic page! What wonderful photos she captured at a local farm! This is a great example of how different themes can work with the same template. The beautiful neutral background papers really help the photos  to stand out and I love the sweet bird on the branch. Lovely elements throughout her page!

Here is her awesome page, featuring two of her sons! Those photo wraps are just fantastic and really make the photo pop! I love how colorful they are and they look great against the neutral grays in the background. The postage stamp frame is a cute one!

Her outstanding bird photography led her to creating this amazing page! The vertical framing, along with top out of bounds photo is beautifully done! I love the blue elements she used to coordinate with the blue sky in the photos. The eggs in the nest ephemera is a perfect touch too.

I also wanted to lift one of Sarah’s pages and this is the one I chose:

I was drawn to the circle frames and brushwork. Here is my page, using a beautiful Layer Works template as my base. I modified it somewhat and added a few elements to fit my theme and photos.
